ElfQuest The Final Quest #15 eBook Richard Pini Wendy Pini

I like Elfquest but I think there are two many characters and subplots going on in this and several plot devices are drawn out too much that they seem tedious like Rayek/Winnowill. I just never bonded with the Wavedancers that much. It feels like a book where we 'check in' with very people but the plot is lacking cohesion.

The story with Moonshade is drawn out and dull. Either do it or don't, but I get bored with the wangst, I've actually never liked them as a couple. Kind of codependent. Cutter gets hurt and is rescued by Leetah much in the manner he had been hurt in the previous series. Wish it had been another elf. I thought that made him seem less than chiefworthy. Plus been there done Cutter getting seriously ill and having other elves rush over hill and dale to save him. Too bad someone else didn't challenge when he was down. Would've been an interesting way to retire him as chief and an unexpected twist. I would've liked it to have been another elf hurt this time. Skywise for example would've been interesting.

The new tribe is curious Can't wait to find out more.
